The Steps To Your New Smile
Step 1: Free 3 on 6™ Consultation
Your new smile begins with a free consultation with a 3 on 6™ certified doctor right here at our Poway, CA dental office. A consultation with our doctor includes a free full-mouth digital 3D scan and comprehensive examination so we can identify the health of your teeth and your jaw bone.
Using this information, Dr. Rich can determine if the 3 on 6 Smile procedure is right for you, or recommend another tooth replacement option. We will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have, including questions about dental implants, the 3 on 6 Smile, the All-on-4 or All-on-X procedures, overdentures, full mouth dental implants, or traditional dentures. Your consultation will typically last about an hour, and we’ll be able to calculate exact treatment costs before you leave as well as help with insurance and financing arrangements.
Step 2: Implant Surgery
At the following appointment, the implant surgery will take place. The surgery will be done under general anesthesia, so you won't feel a thing. After your implant placement surgery, the implants will need to heal for a few months, but you will see a new smile for the first time right away! You'll have a temporary bridge placed on the implants so that you have a beautiful smile while you heal. You will be able to use these teeth for soft chewing during your healing period as directed by our team.
Our dental lab will use scans of your teeth or pre-designed models to design your new, permanent smile. You'll have input on the design including the shade of your new teeth.
Step 3: Temporary Restorations
Once your 3 on 6 implants are healed, your temporary bridges will be removed and a new set of temporary bridges placed on your implants. This step is to ensure your bite is correct, and that you are satisfied with the design and color of the teeth.
After a two-week trial with the bridges, Dr. Rich will meet with you again for your feedback regarding the shade, comfort and fit of your new teeth. Based on your feedback, the doctor may make some modifications to your bridges.
Step 4: Final Bridges
When your new smile is looking and feeling good, the final zirconia bridges will be crafted by our dental lab specialists, based on the specifications from Dr. Rich.
A final visit to our Poway dental office will be scheduled, to allow Dr. Rich to place your final bridges.
